'09 Paint Mare - All-around
Beautiful 5 y/o mare ready to go in any direction you'll take her. Solid, well built, great conformation. She is learning to collect herself, bend, and connect to the bit. Walks, trots, needs work on her canter. Started on basic showmanship. Ellie lunges and has been free-jumped in the round pen several times. I've taken her out riding a few times and she loved it and didn't question a thing, leading me to believe she would be an awesome trail horse. Sweet mare who will stand for grooming as long as you like. Bathes, trailers like a champ, allows clipping on legs but needs work with her face. Ellie requires an experienced and confident rider (or an amateur rider working regularly with a trainer) to give her the confidence and affirmation she needs to reach her full potential. As a green horse, she will test her limits with you under saddle and on the ground. It is important that Ellie is either pastured alone or with geldings, as she bonds extremely closely with mares and becomes very nervous and agitated when separated from them. Ellie is UTD on farrier, dental, coggins, and shots. I did not plan to sell her, but I need a ready to show horse for this fall. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have. $900.
